Chad Gast – CEO / Creative Lead
Chad, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has been a driving force at 52 Watt Studios for nearly 25 years. With strong roots in creative development, design aesthetic, and fine art developed at Kendall College of art and design, Chad began his career as a motion design expert and now leads the company as the CEO, and oversees creative development, art direction, high-level post-production. Chad’s leadership ensures our team delivers top-notch results.
Katie Dehn – Director of Operations / Project Lead
Based in metro-Detroit, Katie keeps ideas moving and projects thriving as our Director of Operations and Project Lead. Her journey began in the edit bay, where she honed her eye for detail and storytelling. Today, she channels that same precision into leading teams, streamlining workflows, and building lasting relationships with clients — always with equal parts structure and fun.
Jon Cairns – Director of Photography / Senior Editor
Jon, based on the west coast of Florida, is a seasoned professional director of photography who travels internationally to capture stunning video footage. When he's not behind the camera, Jon excels in editing, color correction, and sound design. His love for travel also leads him on quests to find the best seafood reminding him of his East Coast, Boston roots.
Tammy Nelson – Administrative Lead
Since joining our team a decade ago, Tammy has expertly managed our finances and administrative tasks. Her attention to detail keeps everything running smoothly. Her behind-the-scenes effort keeps our video productions on track with invoicing, expenses, and contracting. Tammy’s love for numbers and spreadsheets perfectly balances out the 52 Watt Studios team.
