Overview:
For several years, we’ve partnered with Thomson Reuters to support SYNERGY, their flagship annual customer conference. Our role has included a wide range of video production services aimed at extending the value of the event well beyond the conference itself.

Most recently, we were tasked with capturing a series of expert-led breakout sessions and repurposing them into on-demand educational content for customers who couldn’t attend in person. These sessions would become a key part of the company’s year-round online training library.

The Vision:
The Thomson Reuters team wanted these recordings to feel polished and engaging—more than just simple event documentation. The goal was to deliver the energy of a live conference, paired with the clarity and structure of professional e-learning content.

To ensure a smooth production process, we created a detailed presenter guide, including both a written document and a short instructional video. These tools helped speakers understand how to prepare, what to expect on recording day, and how to deliver content clearly on camera.

Our Approach:
In close collaboration with the client, we designed a custom video set that was both functional and visually appealing. We first built and tested the full setup in our local studio space, gathering feedback and sharing reference photos with the Thomson Reuters team. Once approved, we reconstructed the entire set in a hotel ballroom at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

The set featured a seamless cyc wall, professional lighting, a teleprompter, and a confidence monitor to display slide decks—allowing speakers to stay aligned with their visuals throughout the presentation.

After the event, we received the finalized PowerPoint decks and handled all postproduction, integrating slides into the sessions, adding custom graphics packages, and building a high-energy video opener that reflected the dynamic atmosphere of SYNERGY.

Results:
The final deliverables included 16 full-length, professionally produced breakout session videos, each designed for long-term use as part of Thomson Reuters on-demand educational offerings. These sessions extend the impact of the SYNERGY conference and provide valuable, ongoing learning opportunities for the company’s broader customer base.

Our continued partnership with Thomson Reuters is a great example of how event-based content can be repurposed to drive value far beyond the live experience.
